Images of Elon Musk kissing a robot are NOT what they seem

Elon Musk has been a controversial figure on the internet for a while now, from his attempts to end Russia’s war with Ukraine to his questionable decisions about Twitter’s direction. The latest controversy is the images of Elon Musk kissing a robot, which has left the online community perplexed.

And it wasn’t just one, but several female humanoids that were part of this controversy with the billionaire. But a post by KESharpCO CEO Daniel Marven explained the situation better, check it out:

Elon Musk announces the future wife who is she?
It is the first robot that has been manufactured specifically designed with artificial intelligence with the personality and the characteristics of the female that he dreams of…which is not found in any normal person, because of… pic.twitter.com/a2JdpTfwef

In the tweet, Marven teases:

“Elon Musk announces future wife, who is she?”

The post gives a very detailed description of how humanoids are projects carried out with artificial intelligence to create the “dream woman”.

And at the very end of the tweet, we see a plottwist when Marven says that:

“[…] The post is to clarify the dangers of AI (artificial intelligence) in the future, especially after the latest innovation shared by Tesla with the ‘Optimus’ robot.”

Elon Musk kissing a robot yields thread hilarious

Taking advantage of Marven’s lead, another user, David Bean, shared his fears about the future of AI saying:

“This post highlights one of the dangers of AI – it is being used to generate images like these to trick people into thinking they are real.”

This post does clarify one of the dangers of AI – it is being used to generate images like these to fool people into thinking they are real.

Others took the situation to a humorous level, commenting:

“Where’s the male version? I’ve always wanted a robot husband. Does all the chores, never argues, and has all the settings you need.”

Where’s the male version. I was always playing to get a robot husband. He does all cries, never argues, and has all the needed settings ????

Where did this conversation come from?

The photos of Elon Musk kissing a robot were a response to images of the entrepreneur’s Tesla humanoid, Optimus Bot, which were released in September last year. Experts criticized how the robot was still not capable of performing tasks more precisely.

The robots presented by Musk were capable of walking, picking up objects and performing simple tasks. Regarding the event, the billionaire declared that it would be “a fundamental transformation for civilization as we know it“.

However, Cynthia Yeung, head of product at Plus One Robotics, commented on the quality of the technology on Twitter:

“None of this is cutting edge. Hire some PhDs and go to some robotics conferences @Tesla.”

Finally, AI researcher Filip Piekniewski also shared his position on Tesla’s technology on social media:

“Cringe quality seal” and a “complete and total fraud.”
