Google is one of the largest technology companies in the world. Its software and programs are widely used around the world and help people in many different areas. One of its tools, and certainly one of the most used, is Google Maps. This is a very popular GPS and route generation service.
Several other apps use the information provided by the company to create similar locators. One of the most popular features among drivers, cyclists and even pedestrians is the service that allows you to simulate different routes from one point to another.
Even though it is very useful, many people may have difficulties with the app, but the company seems to be improving its platform.
New features in Google Maps

During the Google I/O 2023 conference, the multinational corporation announced the launch of navigation tools that aim to improve the user experience, focusing on visual immersion with the use of artificial intelligence (AI).
The use of AI together with Google Street View and the evolution of immersive vision will make maps have 3D routes.
This way, it will be possible to view not only simple routes, but also sidewalks, streets with characteristic obstacles, buildings, parking lots, parks and many others.
Other utilities

The new tool will also provide some relevant data about the departure and destination locations, such as temperature, weather forecast, air quality and even traffic congestion, informed by an analysis algorithm.
This makes planning much easier for anyone who wants to go somewhere, especially when it comes to long trips.
The software will be made available, including for commercial use and by other developers, as an API (Application Programming Interface), as a contract between applications.
Thus, programmers will be able to use the resources provided in different ways, it will only depend on each person’s creativity.
Google has yet to reveal a release date, meaning that advances to the platform may still be in development, but they have already confirmed that the 3D tool will show the height of buildings and businesses and will even feature a “virtual flight” system.
So far, the announced updates are not available in Brazil.
