According to the Mensa Brasil Association, there are, today, 2,621 super intelligent people living in the country and another 31 Brazilians living abroad.
The characteristics show that the diagnosis can appear in adulthood.
When this happens, according to Dr. neuroscience Fabiano de Abreu Agrela, the discovery tends to happen after patients live without understanding the reason for certain behaviors.
In general, gifted adults reach adulthood feeling excluded and disconnected from reality.

André signed up as a volunteer in the Genetic Intelligence Program (GIP) project, which was created by neuroscientist Fabiano Agrela. He seeks to understand more about the human genome and, with that, decipher the mysteries of intelligence.
The gaucho’s dedication yielded important results. The commitment made him improve his own skills even further, so that he was able to consolidate himself in the Infinity International Society (ISS), that is, the high IQ society.
This entire context only leads us to believe that there may be many adults who are still unaware that they are gifted, as well as the effects of this on their daily lives and on their own behavior.
