1. Check Internet Connection
You can start by checking the internet on your device. Sometimes, a slow or inconsistent internet connection can cause problems such as videos being paused or broadcasts not loading on YouTube. Open another website or run a quick speed test on your device to check the internet.
2. Check the Headphones
If you’re watching a YouTube video with headphones plugged in, the app will automatically pause the video when disconnected or removed. So, if your headphones are broken or loosely connected, this can cause YouTube to constantly believe it was removed and force you to repeatedly pause your video. You can try watching YouTube with a different set of headphones or speakers for a while just to be sure.
3. Restart Your Device
Probably the best thing about our phones or computers is that they can run multiple apps in the background. But sometimes, these background apps and processes can also create conflicts and lead to errors like this. So you can try restarting your device to turn everything off and try using YouTube again to see if it works fine now.
4. Disable Remind Me To Take A Break
If you are in the habit of watching YouTube videos excessively, you may have asked YouTube to remind you to take a break from time to time. When enabled, ‘Remind me to take a break’ is a feature in the YouTube app that automatically pauses a video after a certain interval. If you don’t want to be interrupted anymore, go ahead and disable it.
