Jiri Prochazka is the current light heavyweight champion of the UFC. In a few weeks, he will make his first championship defense against veteran Glover Texeira.
At UFC 275, Prohazka He won the belt against Texeira in a bloody five-round match for the Colosseum. Glover Teixeira had swung the Czech fighter multiple times throughout the fight, eventually making a mistake on his way to a level change on the fifth, only to give his neck a bare strangle from behind. He also said the following about the number of tests performed on him: “[It’s been] more than 50 times I do not know. I’m not counting that.To be precise, USADA website, has been tested 61 times this year, making him by far the most tested UFC fighter this year. For comparison, former champions Glover Teixeira, Israel Adesanya and Kamaru Usman were tested 9, 12 and 15 times this year, respectively.

As mentioned above, Prochazka struggled far from a perfect fight at UFC 275 – despite being a proficient striker, he was caught in the crossfire by 43-year-old Glover Texeira and injured multiple times. Certainly at that time, the experience was not on his side in the octagon.
Almost seven months later, the Czech fighter has a chance to silence his critics. Talking about the improvements he made, “I’m just working on my mistakes from the last fight and I don’t want to repeat mistakes in wrestling, jiu-jitsu and show more stand-up because I just showed that I think 50, 20 percent.”
