UFC 282 was very important for a variety of reasons; foremost among these is the unpopularity of the decisions made by the jury members at the joint main and main events. The MMA community is never truly unanimous in any debate – but this PPV has served to show otherwise.
In a game that’s definitely going by Jan Blachowicz until the end of 3rd round, Magomed Ankalaev showed great fortitude to reclaim the (fans!) scorecards and force the way to a supposed decision victory. Only the expected result did not materialize and the fighter finally had to hear the disturbing announcement that the fight was a draw. This was because Jiri Prochazka was vacant last month due to a shoulder injury and Glover Teixeira chose not to fight Ankalaev.
Dana White announced it almost instantly in her post-fight press release Glover Teixeira etc Cemahal Hill for the vacant light heavyweight title, in about a month. On the subject, he said:I think the main event was terrible. Do you know what you will do?”
Responding to journalist John Morgan’s question about the status of the vacant belt, White said:You are playing Glover Teixeira against Jamahal Hill in Brazil. It’s over… we’re out of the octagon, we’re all screwed up in my green room at the back. Then Hunter and Mick started talking… ‘how about doing this in Brazil, we’re going to turn that around and do this thing in Brazil.’ Everyone started to cheer up a bit and it became much more fun in the hall.”

UFC 283 could potentially see two Brazilians, including Glover Teixeira, be crowned champions in front of their home fans.
UFC 283 will be held at the Jeunesse Arena in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, and the main event was supposed to be shared by the UFC. Deiveson Figueiredo and his nemesis Brandon Moreno. Now that Dana White has announced this new addition, UFC Brazil looks a lot more stacked up.
But the most interesting thing is that after a long hiatus, Brazil will cheer up its two natives to win the championship. While Figueiredo battles Moreno to make his first title defense after losing the belt last year, Teixeira will aim to reclaim the belt taken by Jiri Prochazka six months ago.

And what makes it doubly special is that the last Brazilian to win the title in front of his own fans was Jose Aldo against Chad Mendes years ago. A new decade brings new opportunities – and MMA fans will wait to see if these two fighters can capture the imaginations of millions.
