After several weeks of beta testing, Apple Music for Android can now cast your tracks to all Chromecast devices. Support for third-generation streaming technology developed by Google is clearly a highlight for many Apple Music users.
Like many other compatible apps, the Chromecast button is in the app’s top bar, next to the search button. While playing music, the Chromecast icon also appears on the “Now Playing” screen. Technically, Chromecast support also means you can stream Apple Music to a Google Home speaker.
Apple Music also has a dark mode
Besides Chromecast support, the app now has a dark mode, compatible with the settings of the new Android 10 system. With this big trend, many applications such as Gmail, Chrome or Instagram have also earned the right to dark mode. There was no reason for Apple Music to get away with it.
The app has other new features as well. It allows you to look up the lyrics of the songs, just like with other streaming services like Deezer or Spotify. The latest news: Apple Music also supports radio stations TuneIn, radio.com and iHeartRadio. Androidpolice really does 100,000 radio stations. Apple Music, which recently acquired a web version, is trying to catch up with other streaming services.
