Facebook: Map together in France

Many sectors, especially tourism and local trade, have been hit hard by the coronavirus crisis. Facebook France has just launched #TogetherInFranceAn initiative that aims to support these sectors during the summer holidays, at a time when the French are slowly returning to normal life. The social network now offers an offer interactive and collaborative map allowing everyone to share attractions around them.

This is kind of new Backpackers Guide for those who want to discover places in France during their holidays, especially since travel abroad must be limited for several months. This Facebook initiative is supported by many French personalities who want to promote their region. This is the first “solidity tourism map” for the social network. The idea is to help stimulate the revival of the tourist season.

Facebook offers Waze for restaurants, shops and attractions in France

The collaborative aspect of this new map is based on the same crowdsourcing principle that made Waze popular, all about highlighting good addresses and local shops that French people prefer. For Facebook, this is “ “A unique feature in the world, specially developed for the #EnsembleEnFrance programme”. So every French person will be able to: add local gems
