Users do not renew streaming subscriptions

Since its launch, Netflix has managed to gain a large number of subscribers, however, with the advancement of other platforms, the company has ended up losing some of its prominence.

The platform recently shared a number of changes that will be implemented in the coming months to prevent subscribers from sharing passwords. These changes are aimed at increasing new subscribers.

Furthermore, Netflix had a large number of cancellations and this fact can be proven by a survey carried out on the shutdowns of streaming platforms in Brazil.

According to the data analyzed, Netflix was the company that experienced the greatest loss of Brazilian users. Among the people interviewed, 57% reported canceling some streaming service, of which 33% reported getting rid of their Netflix account.

The other platforms also appeared on the cancellation list, they were: Globoplay (27%), Disney+ (17%), Telecine Play (14%), HBO Max (13%) and Amazon Prime Video (8%).

Although Netflix’s number is striking, when compared to last year’s losses, the company showed a reduction in the number of cancellations.

Netflix is ​​still the favorite

Another point that deserves to be highlighted is that this platform is among the most appreciated by Brazilians, as 92% of streaming platform consumers cite the company as their first choice.

Among the criteria used by consumers were the variety of content, the ease of use of the application, the possibility of having the application on TV and, finally, the suggestion tool according to the interests of each subscriber.
