Thinking about improvements for its users, WhatsApp is about to bring yet another new feature for those who use the messenger. It was observed in the test versions that the application now allows you to lock conversations with a password.
This would be a very interesting feature to avoid those snoopers who want to see your conversations, or to save more confidential information. The specialist website WABetaInfo discovered the existence of this new feature.
Currently, WhatsApp only allows you to completely block the app using biometrics. Therefore, there is still a chance that someone could read your conversations, since you only need to register your fingerprint to unlock the app.
Now, with this new feature discovered in the messenger, WhatsApp provides another layer of protection, as users will be able to choose what to block and use a different password, specific to that conversation. Pretty cool, right?
So far, WhatsApp has not confirmed the feature for the app or given a possible release date for it. So, let’s keep an eye out for more information!
