The technology market brings new things to consumers every day. Among products such as cell phones, smart watches and computers, a trend seems to be emerging: smartglassesor smart glasses, in Portuguese.
In addition to Apple’s new product, Chinese company Xiaomi has revealed the brand’s newest glasses, called Smart Audio Glasses.
But the product differs from the brand’s previous launches as it is a pair of glasses focused mainly on playing music for the user.

The new Xiaomi MIJIA Smart Audio Glasses feature an ideal design for more reserved people. The product’s discretion is noteworthy as it can be used as prescription glasses on a daily basis. Its weight is also a highlight, being very light at 38 grams.
According to Xiaomi, the product is different from other smart glasses because it has conventional lenses with speakers on the temples. Control is also done through the “legs”, where the user can give commands to play music.
According to the company, the glasses have a battery life of up to 22 hours if used in moderation. When used to listen to music non-stop, they can last up to ten hours without charging.
Users can also make calls, as the models have a microphone and can be paired with Android, iOS and Windows devices.
How much will it cost?
Not yet available in Brazil, the Smart Audio Glasses are already on sale in Xiaomi’s home country: China. Prices range from 799 yuan to 899 yuan (around R$550 and R$620, in simple conversion).
The product is part of Xiaomi’s MIJIA line, a type of sub-line specialized in smart products, including items for the home and everyday life.
While there is no information about the launch in other countries, fans of the brand can follow the company’s news.
