Red ALERT in the USA: rain, snow and tornadoes ravage the country

Last Tuesday (9), the U.S faced moments of extreme difficulty due to devastating climate changes.

The consequences were felt across much of the North American territory, resulting in trails of destruction and, in some cases, human losses.

It is estimated that approximately five people lost their lives during an intense storm that devastated several regions.

The storm brought with it heavy rain, snow and extremely low temperatures, significantly impacting the routine of residents of the US states.

Surprisingly, even the Hawaii faced challenges, suffering from floods and other climate changes, highlighting the breadth and severity of the phenomenon.

The most affected regions were the Pacific Northwest, the Plains, the Gulf Coast, the South, and the mid-Atlantic.

Reports indicate that several states were hit by tornadoes, further worsening the situation.

Among the tragedies recorded, the following stand out: deaths caused by trees falling on vehicles, especially in the state of Atlanta.

In Missouri, a tragic incident resulted in the death of a 17-year-old girl, who collided with a section of overpass and was then run over by a trailer.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol attributes this incident to freezing roads, highlighting the danger of extreme weather conditions.

In response to the severity of the situation, several states issued state of emergency decrees. The state of Floridafor example, under the leadership of Governor Ron DeSantis, declared a state of emergency for 49 counties.

This measure aims to mobilize resources and speed up emergency response, ensuring that affected communities receive the necessary assistance.

The emergency situation demonstrates the vulnerability of the affected regions in the face of climate changes. Approximately 164 million people had been placed under weather warnings.

Facing extreme events requires cooperation and readiness from authorities and the population, aiming to minimize damage and protect lives.

Given this challenging scenario, it is expected that affected communities will receive continued support to recover and rebuild.
