iPhone
Follow the steps below to register a password on WhatsApp for iOS:
- Open WhatsApp and click on “Settings” in the bottom right corner of the screen;
- Access the “Account” tab and tap “Privacy”;
- On the next screen, scroll to the bottom and click on “Screen Lock”;
- Now, just enable the “Request Face ID” (or “Request Touch ID”) option to set a password on WhatsApp;
- You can also select how long it will take for the app to automatically lock.
Android
Follow the steps below to register a password on WhatsApp via Android:
- Open the WhatsApp application on your smartphone;
- Tap the three-dot icon in the top right corner of the screen to access the menu;
- Select the “Settings” option;
- Tap on the “Account” option;
- Then choose “Privacy”;
- Scroll down and select “Passcode Lock”;
- Tap “Activate” and follow the on-screen instructions to set a six-digit passcode;
- You can also choose to use your fingerprint instead of a six-digit passcode. To do this, tap “Use fingerprint” and follow the on-screen instructions to set it up.
