Many productions of streamingsuch as films and series, have been criticized for having audio that is too loud, causing discomfort and even damage to viewers’ hearing and experience.
This sound discomfort problem occurs when the volume of background music or special effects is increased in relation to other elements of the production, such as dialogue.
Thinking about viewers’ dissatisfaction with this sound discomfort, Prime Video, Amazon’s streaming service, launched a feature that was highly anticipated by its subscribers: The option to control the audio of dialogues in productions available on streaming.
Now, users can adjust the audio of the content they are watching, being able to increase or decrease the sound of the characters’ speeches. Thus, the platform is a pioneer in technology and gains even more credibility with its customers.
The technological resource was named Dialogue Boost (Dialogue Boost, in free translation). With the tool, the viewer will be able to adjust the audio of the production they are watching. This way, it will be possible to amplify the sound of the dialogues without increasing the sound of special effects or background music.
