Artificial intelligence has recently been the focus of discussions about the job market. Although this technology is designed to make many services easier, its use is negatively affecting the jobs of human professionals, who have no other source of income to support themselves.

Use of AI in the job market
A question has arisen on social media about how legitimate it is to use AI to develop new stories for scripts. However, an important fact to be highlighted in this case is that human scriptwriters would be hired to edit and correct the work done by the technology, making it more alive and humanized.
This strategy used by some companies has caused outrage among professionals, as they would receive a lower amount to restructure the AI work, which often has to be completely discarded and redone from scratch, for an amount much lower than that which was originally paid to these professionals.
In the case of works with narrated books, this fact is even worse, as AI is literally replacing voice actors.
The technology does not need to develop a text, but rather give voice to an already invented story. Just like human narrators, AI must vary the tones of voice used to interpret the story, bringing emotion to the listener.
There are currently numerous tools that allow this function, which makes the case even more complicated. The use of this tool is already notable among professionals in the area, as work demands have reduced significantly.
Although technological advancement is attractive to the public and also to developers, the way the process is taking place is not ideal.
In the case of the voices that are used by AI to record stories, there are still no reports of a company creating a voice from scratch without using a real person’s voice as a basis.
So, in order to avoid being notified for copyright infringement and for using someone else’s voice without authorization, companies are mixing more than one voice to claim that a new voice has been created.
Furthermore, dubbing and reading professionals point out that the audience will also not receive the best final product as they would if the recording were human.
Of course, some companies are doing the right thing by offering the voice actor the right amount of compensation when their voice is used by AI. However, this is not the rule.
Just like everything surrounding the subject of “jobs being replaced by artificial intelligence”, this will still be a widely discussed topic in the near future.
