Among the most relevant games in the video game industry is the franchise “Final Fantasy“, which stands out as one of the most influential RPG games of today. The first game was released in 1987 and, to date, the franchise has 14 main games.
In this sense, the most recent game, “Final Fantasy XVI”, became highly acclaimed due to its extraordinary musical compositions, and this is an aspect that cannot be left aside when we talk about this franchise.

During this revealing interview, Masayoshi Soken shared fascinating details about the “Final Fantasy XVI” soundtrack.
According to the composer, the game’s musical project began seven years ago, with full development occurring in later stages. The end result is nothing short of impressive, with over 300 tracks composed for the game’s soundtrack.
In this sense, the process of remastering the corresponding CD was an arduous task, requiring more than a month to be completed masterfully. This valuable information was meticulously shared by user @Genki_JPN, an enthusiast active on social media:
“FF16 composer Masayoshi Soken appeared on Tokyo FM and gave some details! – FF16 started development 7 years ago.– The artist thought he had made 200 tracks, but in fact he made over 300. – The job was basically to create music and fit it into the game. – The soundtrack CD took over 1 month to master.”
If you’re feeling like enjoying the soundtrack and everything the game has to offer, know that “Final Fantasy XVI” was released exclusively for the PlayStation 5, and will only be available on that console for the next six months.
