Pix in installments has arrived! Banks offer new payment method

It’s undeniable that the news of the moment involves Pix, and it’s clear that everyone’s eyes are wide open to see what the next news related to this innovative form of payment will be. However, even before the Central Bank announced changes, some banks had already stepped forward.

Several financial institutions have already made payment options available to customers in installments using Pix. This option may appear in the format of using the credit limit or another line. This offers the possibility of paying in more than 20 installments, but with interest.

The most interesting thing about this is that, even when the customer chooses to pay in installments, the person or institution receives the full amount immediately. However, although this novelty is quite attractive, there are risks. This is because, the longer the period selected for payment, the higher the fees charged, which can lead to the risk of debt.

As this is not yet completely official, that is, published by the Central Bank, the Pix in installments offered by your institution may have a different name, such as Pix on credit or Pix on card, for example.

In any case, the Pix in installments can be used normally, that is, like a regular Pix.

Check out options already available in some banks

One of the banks that already offers installments on Pix is Santander. At this institution, you will find the option for amounts starting from R$100 and a minimum installment of R$5. At Itaú, the offer depends on a credit analysis, while at Bradesco it is possible to use the alternative even without an account balance.

Banco do Brasil offers transfer services starting at R$100, with interest rates varying according to some points highlighted by the institution. With regard to digital banks, Nubank already stands out as one of the companies that makes this innovation available.

As can be seen, each bank has its own formats and rates for this new feature, since Pix in installments has not yet been regulated by the central bank. For now, there is no defined deadline for the modality to be officially launched by the organization.
