Planning a trip is one of the most exciting things about traveling. But if you don’t keep everything in one place, things can quickly get stressful. Google Travel is a handy service you can use to plan your trip.
Fortunately, you can use several platforms to organize yourself and get the most out of your adventure. One of them is Google Travel, which is free to use and available to anyone with a Google account.
This article will walk you through how you can use Google Travel to plan your trip. These tips will work if you are using the desktop web app.
Book Your Flight
When planning a trip, you will probably start by booking your flights. Doing this on Google Travel is pretty simple; Follow the steps below.
Stage 1: Open the Google Travel website.
Step 2: In the left sidebar, click on the option titled Flight.

Stage 3: Fill in the boxes asking for the dates you plan to travel, how many people will fly, and the class you want to fly in, as well as your departure airport and destination.

Step 4: At the top of the next window, you’ll see what Google thinks are the best departing flights for you. You’ll find the rest as you scroll down. Select your preferences, go to the service provider and select the one you want to book under Booking options.

If you’re flexible with dates, you can go to the Price chart or the Date grid tabs to find the cheapest deals.

Similarly, if you scroll to the bottom of the list of top flights departing, you can check to see the average cost of the time you’ve flown.

find a place to stay
After you book your flight, you will need to find a place to stay. With Google Travel, you can search for both hotels (note that hostels will appear in this category as well) and vacation rentals.
To search for a hotel, you need to follow the steps below.
Stage 1: Select Hotels in the left sidebar; it’s under Flights.

Step 2: Use the top filters to fine-tune your search; you can choose your budget, what brands you want to show etc. you can choose.

Stage 3: From your listed search results, select Learn more next to the accommodation you want to book.

Step 4: Click on Check availability.

Step 5: You will see a list of websites where you can book; sponsored selections will be at the top, others at the bottom. Choose the option you want and complete the reservation on their site.

If you prefer to rent a vacation rental, you can do so by following the steps below.
Stage 1: Select Holiday rentals from the left sidebar.

Step 2: At the top, customize your search by choosing filters.

Stage 3: Select Learn more when your search results are loaded.

Step 4: The following steps will depend on the individual rules of the facility. For some, you can scroll down to the Pricing and availability section and then select Visit site.

In other cases, you may have to go through a few extra steps. If you are unable to book via a click in the box mentioned above, go to the top Website.

After you do this, the site with the listing features will load. Some allow you to book directly; others will ask you to contact the owner and provide more information.
Create Your Itinerary
Once you’ve booked your flight and accommodation, it’s time to start packing your itinerary.
When you purchase any of the above, you can see that Google has created a trip for you. You can find this by going to the Travel tab.

If you don’t find anything there, go to Create trip.

On the next page, set the details of your travel destination and your travel dates. Then press Save.

Once you’ve done the above, you’re ready to start adding to your itinerary. To do this, follow these steps.
