On Tuesday, May 16, Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri announced on his channel a new feature that is already available in some versions of the app and is one of the most requested items by users: the use of GIFs in comments made on the network.

The use of these short looping videos is very popular on the internet, mainly to add a comical tone to communication. And it doesn’t stop there!

It wasn’t just the implementation of this feature in the comments that highlighted the app this week. Recently, a new way to monetize your reelswhich are the platform’s short videos.

Additionally, Instagram developers have already stated that they are testing the generation of automatic captions on posted clips to make the environment more inclusive.

As if that wasn’t enough, Instagram also released more links could be added to profiles. Before this, users who wanted to add two or more email addresses links in their bios needed to resort to external applications. Thinking about the convenience and requests of influencers and merchants, the company increased the limit to five for adding links.
