Early production of the Galaxy S24
Traditionally, Samsung holds its first Galaxy Unpacked event in February.
However, this year, the Korean company is accelerating the process and plans to hold the event on January 18, 2024. This change in schedule has attracted attention and raised some questions.
Although the reason for this anticipation is unclear, there is evidence that the Samsung wants to stand out in the market, taking advantage of the availability of Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor before its competitors.
Galaxy S24 details
Rumors suggest that the three models in the Galaxy S24 line will be equipped with Qualcomm’s powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.
Unlike the previous release, Samsung chose not to offer a more powerful custom version. This signals a more consistent approach to delivering top-notch performance across the Galaxy S24 lineup.
Furthermore, the new devices promise to revolutionize mobile photography. The Galaxy S24 Ultra’s main sensor will be capable of capturing an impressive 200 MP, thanks to Samsung’s ISOCELL sensor. Among the new features introduced, the following stand out:
- Zoom Anyplace: this functionality allows the simultaneous capture of the entire field of view and enlarged areas in videos, in addition to recording videos in 4K with 4x zoom without loss of quality;
- Automatic tracking: the Galaxy S24’s ISOCELL sensor will be able to automatically identify and follow people, improving the quality of photos and videos;
- End-to-End AI Remosaic (E2E): Thanks to advanced algorithms, users will be able to take more detailed photos in less time, resulting in images with vibrant colors and rich details.
Other rumors suggest the Galaxy S24 Ultra will feature a 6.8-inch display with a peak brightness of 2,500 nits, beating the competition iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Furthermore, the battery capacity will vary between 4,900 and 5,000 mAh, guaranteeing exceptional autonomy.

Support for satellite communication
A notable feature is support for satellite communication, which will be incorporated into Samsung’s new premium devices.
Although the company has not yet released details on which models will offer this functionality, this addition marks a significant advancement in mobile connectivity.
The date of the next Galaxy Unpacked event has not yet been officially confirmed by Samsung. However, rumors suggest it will take place on January 18th.
A Samsung will return to the United States, more precisely to San Francisco, to hold an event.
