In the United Kingdom, a moving story surprised everyone when a girl of just six years old used Amazon’s virtual assistant, Alexato ask for help and save the life of his mother, who suffers from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
Emma Anderson, the child’s mother, had been diagnosed with the heart condition as a teenager. The condition causes the heart muscle to harden and impairs its proper functioning, resulting in episodes of discomfort.

Emma’s daughter turned to Alexa to save her mother
Concerned about her health, Emma set up the virtual assistant so that her daughter, Darcey, could ask for help with just a short phrase. The commands were programmed to activate the girl’s grandmother, who was able to quickly call an ambulance.
By sharing the story with the newspaper Daily MailEmma expressed her pride in her daughter’s courage and quick action. She says she is very proud of Darcey and that the girl is a real star. The mother says that she talked to her about the fact that she has a bad heart and, if she felt sick or fainted, the child should say “Alexa, call for help”.
