The Tampa Bay Pirates are now enjoying the holiday season, especially after Tom Brady was blessed with his return from retirement. They’ve also brought in a wide receiver in the form of Russell Gage, Chris Gidwin and Mike Evans, who will likely play as WR’s third choice.
The former Atlanta Falcons buyer has signed a three-year deal with the Buccaneers and will pocket nearly $30 million on his contract. Before signing the contract, Russell Gage revealed that he received a phone call from Tampa Bay Buccaneers Tom Brady asking to persuade him to sign the contract.
Russell Gage felt special when Tom Brady called him to sign him with the Buccaneers.

The wide receiver, however, did not believe his luck and thought that someone was trying to play a joke on him by trying to imitate the legend. Gage said that Tom Brady had told him about the friendship the Tampa Bay Buccaneers players share with the team, and that was enough to persuade him to sign the contract.
“For a moment I thought it was a joke, someone is trying to pull me.” According to ESPN, Russell Gage said. “He told me there was something really special about what was going on here in Tampa Bay and that he wanted me to be a part of it. To be honest, he didn’t need to say much. After that, he totally hooked me up. … It was definitely special.”
“I had just seen some fake news on social media, so my mind was on some kind of fake news, so when I got the call it was like, ‘Okay. I’m in shock and I’m like, ‘OK, that’s not real’ and ‘this isn’t funny!’ I’m stuck in between,” said Gage. “I was trying to find my way through this, and as I continued, I realized, ‘Okay, this is serious.
Russell Gage had middle numbers for the Atlanta Falcons during his four seasons with him before he moved. Now whenever he gets a chance on the field, he will try to improve his numbers with Brady’s help.
