The NFL draft of the National Football League is the league’s biggest player recruitment event. It is an annual meeting that began in 1936 and has continued ever since. In the current format, players who have been out of high school for at least three years are also eligible for the NFL draft.
The order of selection for the draft is decided by each team’s win-loss record last season and whether the team reached the playoffs. Teams that did not qualify for the playoffs in the previous season are ranked in reverse order of their records, meaning they will receive the first pick.
