This offseason was full of drama, with the Cleveland Browns at its center. First, they were criticized for mistreating Baker Mayfield and keeping him in the dark. Then they faced the sword for paying Deshaun Watson tons of money.
As for Deshaun, there’s no doubt that he’s a really great playmaker, but the world knows he’s been involved in a big argument. He is currently facing sexual harassment lawsuits from several women.
“I always prepared myself like a starter”: Jacoby Brissett

The Deshaun Watson case has had a lot of ups and downs. While the Browns have done their best to take a neutral stance on the matter, there is no denying that they will come under fire for paying Deshaun too much guaranteed money.
There is also the possibility that Deshaun will be banned by the NFL if found guilty. If that happens, the Browns will find themselves in troubled waters as Baker Mayfield has made it clear that he wants to leave Cleveland. At such a time, Jacoby Brissett is expected to come to the rescue.
Brissett has been the backup quarterback for a while, but the time to raise him may come soon next season. “I wouldn’t be in the position I am in today if I was worried about knowing if I would get started.” Brissett said as recently reported by the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
“I always prepared myself like a start. I carry myself like a startup because when these opportunities arise, I want to show that I am.,” he added. It will be interesting to see how he performs, given that he has a chance to prove himself.
