Sixers veteran Danny Green smashed Patrick Beverley with a shot from Luka Doncic after Chris Paul’s slander.

The Phoenix Suns loss was kind of a win for Patrick Beverley – as he dug ‘boyfriend’ Chris Paul for a poor offensive lead against Luka Doncic. But as Danny Green tried to slap the hard truth in Beverley’s face with his comments, he cleaned up the remains after that.

After being eliminated from the playoffs, Patrick Beverley began appearing on various ESPN talk shows and voicing his opinions on the end-of-season matchups. As hot as Pat is on the court, he never shies away from bold comments about the game or even a player. After the Phoenix Suns were crushed by the Dallas Mavericks in Game 7 of the Conference Semifinals, Beverley shot for Chris Paul. Patrick said the future Hall of Famer “literally failed to protect.” But Philadelphia 76ers guard Danny Green wasn’t sure about Patrick and thinks “Bev” has a leg up on Chris Paul’s criticism of his defense.

Green supported Chris Paul while on duty NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Inside the Green Room. Green reminded Beverley that the Wolves lost 4-2 to the Memphis Grizzlies in the 1st round of the playoffs, “you don’t make a fuckin’ defense out there

Patrick Beverly teased Chris Paul

3-time NBA Champion Danny Green has the image of a very quiet player on the court, but he’s definitely very competitive. He is known for his long-range shooting and fairness in perimeter defense. But Danny was free to respond to Patrick Beverley’s comments.

Jimmy Butler’s fiery warning to Celtics after Heat took a 1-0 lead in EC Finals: “I love physicality, I want to see who gives up first”

“People are targeting you too, Pat Bev. You don’t play f-king defense there.” said green. “You can’t stop Luke [Doncic]. I see Luke calling your ass ‘little man’ and ‘he’s so-little-little’ over and over and attacking you at every opportunity. When you play Luka, you are a cone too. How would you like this? Put that in there and I’ll say it twice.”

Beverley made highly critical comments about Phoenix’s loss and specifically targeted 12-time All-star Chris Paul. “CP can’t protect anyone, man. … you know those cones you drool around in the summer? What does the cone do? Nothing. It’s a cone” said Beverley.

Green suggested that Patrick Beverly was unfair and that his comments were “disrespectful… a bit far.” He also added that Beverley openly maintains a “personal feud” against Paul. “I don’t mind when some guys criticize the actors, but you’re a role player, far from disrespecting the Hall of Famer.” added. “Pat Bev, you can’t stop Luke either. There aren’t many people on the planet who are stopping Luke.”

Danny wasn’t the only one who felt sorry for Beverly as Kevin Durant showed some support for Paul. As Matt Barnes puts it, “People will talk about Chris Paul when he dies, but they won’t talk about us as actors when we’re gone.”

In reality, Paul and the team couldn’t stop Luka Doncic from scoring basket after basket in his epic Game 7 match. But Paul was a member of 7-all defensive 1st teams, while Beverley was a member of only 1 such team. Therefore, the actor’s comments on Chris may have been “a little too much” given his success in the debate.
