Peacekeeper Elite League, one of PUBG Mobile’s biggest tournaments for Chinese players, is preparing to start this year’s tournaments with the PEL 2022 Spring Season. Tencent has announced the teams to see this year and more changes.
For the PEL 2022 Spring Season, there has been a significant change in the tournament’s points system, with the number of seasons played this year being reduced to two. Tencent has been making changes to the current system since last season when the airborne deployment rules were changed. Now let’s look at the necessary details for the tournament.

PEL 2022 Spring Season: Teams
A total of 21 teams will participate in the PEL 2022 Spring Pre-Season. These Chinese teams were divided into three groups of 7 teams each. Here’s how the team split was done.

Format and Program
The PEL 2022 Spring Season starts on March 4 and ends on May 22, 2022. The tournament will be played in four stages as outlined below.
one) Pre-Season: The pre-season of this tournament will be a three-day event that will end on March 6. Players will play the matches in a ranked match format.
- Top six teams qualify for the Weekly Finals – Week 1
- The remaining 15 teams will advance towards Breakout-Week 1
2) Regular Season: This phase will start on March 10 and will finally end on April 17, meaning the tournament will take more than a month. The regular season is further divided into two stages.
- Break (Day 1): The last six teams of the previous week and the last nine teams of the previous weekly finals will compete together. But the Breakout Day of the first week of the regular season will consist of pre-season teams.
- Weekly Finals: The weekly finals will run for three days and consist of six teams from the previous week’s finals and nine teams from the breakout day. The top six teams will advance to the next weekly finals, while the remaining teams will play out the week. The Weekly Finals will contribute to the teams’ Regular points standings.
3) Playoffs: The PEL 2022 Spring Season Playoffs will be played from April 28 to May 8, 2022. The matches, in which 15 teams will qualify for the Grand Finals, will be played for a total of eight days.
4) Finals: The Grand Finals will begin on May 19 and the tournament will finally end on May 22, 2022. Teams will be given starting points ahead of playoff games and 20 games will be played in the finals.

- 1st Place – 10 points
- 2nd Place – 6 points
- 3rd Place – 5 points
- 4th Place – 4 points
- 5th Place – 3 points
- 6th Place – 2 points
- 7th Place – 1 point
- 8th Place – 1 point
- 9th – 15th Place – 0 points
Instead of the previous system where 12 points were given to the winning team, PEL 2022 Spring Season will give players 10 points, implying that there will be a fierce battle on the battlefields. This year’s prize pool is set at USD 4,347,419.
