The Facebook-owned firm chose not to bow to pressure from the users it continued to threaten, and announced that they would do so. In case of rejection, you will lose access to the application.
For several months, Facebook has been embroiled in a mini-scandal over WhatsApp’s new terms of use. The new text is More overlap between Facebook and WhatsApp databases – A possibility that has been feared by some users since the WhatsApp takeover. Mark Zuckerberg’s social network meanwhile has extensively explained its approach.
In particular, the change in terms of use should allow Facebook to offer a better infrastructure that will allow companies to address WhatsApp users more directly. in reality These terms do not change the scope of data WhatsApp and Facebook share about their users.. The new data sharing with Facebook should therefore be understood, first of all, as a new device, implying that your conversations with companies or brands on WhatsApp will likely pass through Facebook’s servers.
WhatsApp: Accept terms by May 15, 2021 otherwise…
This doesn’t change anything about the security of your conversations, which are end-to-end encrypted by default. What pushes some users to competing apps like Signal or Telegram. In fact, even Mark Zuckerberg is caught up in using Signal instead of the WhatsApp app. However, this does not prevent WhatsApp from showing a warning again if you have not yet accepted the new terms of service.
The alert consists of: notification and two screens What is displayed when opening WhatsApp (discussed on the front page of this article).
