Facebook may be a disaster for the autonomy and performance of our smartphones, but it remains the most widely used mobile app, according to the latest ComScore study. Here are the 15 most used mobile apps in December 2015.

last December, application Facebook used by 76.8% Percentage of American smartphone owners (Android and iOS) 18 years of age or older, as this new research reveals. It’s an incredible achievement for the social network, especially when we know the problems caused by its app on both Android smartphones and iPhone.
In second place is Facebook Messenger, which is used by 62.5% of the people questioned, while Instagram, which is also owned by Facebook, ranks ninth with 39.1%.
YouTube is in third place, followed by Google Play, Maps, Search and Gmail. Google’s apps and services thus round out the top 7. Now available on iOS and Android with SD card support, Apple Music is used by 32.2% individuals in the sample. At the end of December, the Apple music streaming service claimed at least 54 million mobile users.
It should be noted that Google Maps is used by 50.9% of survey respondents against just 29.1% for Apple Maps, which ranked thirteenth. Google’s map service is also available on the competing platform, so that’s not surprising.
There are still some quirks in this ranking. The fact that the study was conducted only on individuals aged 18 and over distorts the situation a bit. Claiming to have 200 million active users last month, Snapchat is unlike WhatsApp, which has just surpassed one billion active users. Also, it only concerns the USA. iOS has 43.6% market share Against 52.3% for Android.
And you, what are your favorite apps?
