The service has a number of features designed to allow its users to meet new people, all while staying true to Facebook’s DNA. There are four main ones:

- Secret Crushing. Developed to help you find your soulmate, Secret Crush lets you consider a potential relationship with someone you follow on Facebook or Instagram. Dating lets you choose up to nine of your Facebook friends or Instagram followers. If they choose you, you’re a match. Please note that they will only be notified once they’ve created a Dating profile.
- events and groups.Dating offers the ability to add your Facebook events and groups to the service to find someone with similar interests. This way, you will be able to see everyone registered with Dating in these events and groups.
