Improvements to Mobizap SP: Uber and 99 competitor gains new features

Nowadays, technology is essential for everyone and makes our lives easier with its presence in several essential sectors, such as transportation. Famous apps such as Uber, 99 and inDrive have already taken over metropolitan areas and have become essential for the population.

Thinking about how to provide greater accessibility to people who need private rides, with fairer prices for both drivers and passengers, the City of São Paulo launched the Mobizap SP app this year.

The platform appears as a different and profitable option for the city, but there is still a lot of evolution ahead, which seems to be happening.

In order not to fall behind in terms of technology and experience, the software launches new features every week for its more than 159,000 passengers and 57,000 partner drivers. These improvements aim to reach an even larger audience and improve navigation within the tool, making it easier to understand and taking comfort and reliability to a new level.

Recently announced improvements include real-time tracking of the car’s distance, definition of the pickup location and an audible warning that informs the vehicle’s arrival. In addition, drivers will have access to information such as the trip time before accepting it.

Users can now identify different categories of drivers by color on the map. Blue ones are premium cars, while white ones are economy. The app overlay was another innovation, allowing workers to accept rides even while browsing other apps.

Features don’t stop there

The GPS system has been improved, passenger communication has been enhanced, and audio alerts have been added. In addition to all this, the São Paulo Department of Urban Mobility will be adding new features in the coming weeks, such as a heat map indicating high-demand areas and infinite destination routing.

And there will also be a different search engine to allow easy access to nearby drivers. All this with the promise of maintaining security as Mobizap SP’s main investment factor.
