Android: Joker malware is back, remove these 17 apps from the Play Store quickly!

Here is the list of 17 apps infected with Joker malware

A Zscaler report published on September 24th states: 17 Play Store apps infected with malware. “This spyware is designed to silently sign the victim up for premium services while stealing SMS messages, contact lists, and device information” Explains Zscaler. The compromised apps were downloaded by over 120,000 users. List of apps to be removed immediately:

Following Zscaler’s warning, Google quickly banned the corrupted apps from the Play Store. The company expects the malware to resurface on the Google app store sooner rather than later. “We recommend that you pay particular attention to the permission list of the applications you install on your smartphone” It advises Zscaler. In this case, applications want to: Access to your SMS, call history or contact list without a valid reasonIf a photo editing or browser app is requesting these accesses, malware may be trying to collect your data.
