Social media has been a part of our lives for over a decade, and it has only gotten stronger. Nowadays, almost every important moment is shared publicly for millions of users who can access a wealth of information just through everyday exposure.
Instagram, a social media platform owned by the company Meta, Mark Zuckerbergis one of the most used social networks on the planet, with more than 2 billion users.
Like most network applications, it contains extremely important information about people, such as personal data.
That’s why many people worry about their passwords never being hacked or their data being exposed. But did you know that it’s possible to know if someone you don’t know has access to your account?
In this article, we’ll show you exactly how to find out who accessed your Instagram account.
Has your Instagram account been hacked?

If you are suspicious and worried about the security of your data, then follow these steps to find out if someone has already accessed your Instagram profile:
- access Instagram via a web browser or via the app;
- in the top bar, on the left, go to “profile” and click on the gear icon, opening the “Settings” menu;
- go to “Settings and privacy”;
- go to “Account Center”;
- If you are in the app, now click on “Password and security”;
- click on the option “Where did you start the session/login”.
This way, you will have information about all the devices where your account is or has been logged in. See which devices are yours. If they are not yours, log out immediately.
That’s it! Now your Instagram account is secure and only you have access to it. It is important to note, to ensure your protection and that of your data, that we should not access personal accounts on other people’s computers.
But, if necessary, don’t forget to log out after use and never save your email or password on your device.
