New Google feature offers revolutionary navigation in subway stations and airports

O Google recently announced a big new feature: the feature Google Indoor View that will allow users to find their way around indoor and busy places, such as airports and subway stations around the world. The feature will soon be available in Brazil, more specifically in the city of São Paulo.

The service, which uses artificial intelligence (AI), will soon begin operating in Guarulhos’ airportbut there are plans to expand to the Palmeiras-Barra Funda and Paraíso metro stations.

How Google Indoor View works

The app uses images collected by cameras and AI to offer more precise directions, making it easier to navigate corridors and stores, for example.

With this new feature, Google solves the previous difficulty of using the GPS signal, which does not work indoors. Now, users will have access to an improved location experience in indoor spaces.

Multidimensional images are created with AI from aerial imagery and billions of photos of the Google Street View.

During the Google for Brazil event, the company did not specify the exact launch date of the feature for users of Guarulhos Airport, but emphasized its commitment to offering an improved experience, allowing people to plan their tourist trips in more detail and avoid unforeseen events.
