Since the 12th, one of the main topics on the internet has been the launch of the new device from Apple. The company finally announced the iPhone 15, as well as other accessories that caught the public’s attention.
One detail that has been giving rise to talk is that the iPhone 15 brought with it a change in the connector used, requiring new accessories for users.
And what’s impressive is that the accessories are already available on Apple’s official store, but as is typical of the brand, they’re not exactly affordable.

Exorbitant prices scare consumers
As a result of adding the entry USB-Cloyal Apple users now need to invest in new accessories for the iPhone 15. However, these prices are causing a stir among consumers who intend to buy a new device.
If you are going to buy your iPhone 15, you have to keep in mind that you will need to buy a charger separately. In other words, in addition to spending a high amount on the cell phone, you also have to pay for the USB-C cable. Currently, the price of this charger in Apple’s online store is R$219.
Another option offered by Apple is to purchase an adapter to use cables Lightning on iPhones with a USB-C port. However, this option is also far from saving money, costing no less than R$349 on the company’s official website.
It’s important to note that there are more affordable options available on the market, especially considering that most Android devices already use the USB-C connector. This means consumers have a variety of cheaper alternatives than what Apple offers.
However, experts emphasize that the change to the USB-C connector does not imply a significant improvement in data transfer speed.
The iPhone 15 base model, for example, is compatible with USB 2.0, which is the same standard used in the old cable Lightning, launched in April 2000, offering a maximum transfer speed of 480 Mbit/s.
