Ever wonder to drive through the streets of famous cities around the world and have the feeling that you are there, but without leaving home?
It was with this in mind that engineer Erkam Seker created the “Drive & Listen” website. Through it, you can choose a specific city and check the video from inside a car, as if you were driving there.
Other than that, it is possible to turn on street sound and listen to local radio. The feeling of immersion is undeniable. Furthermore, the chosen routes pass through attractions and busy streets in each city.
No matter how far away you are from them, it is possible to get to know a little and find out what day-to-day life is like in places such as London, Havana, Miami, Zurich, Barcelona and many others.
How does Drive & Listen work?

When accessing the website, you need to select a city. If you choose Paris, for example, wait for the video to appear automatically. If it does not appear on the screen, there is an option in the center indicating to start the journey.
Once this is done, it is possible to expand the experience even further, activating the street sound and playing on a local radio station. Among the Brazilian cities available on the website are: São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Recife and Curitiba.
The catalog of possible destinations can be expanded further. That’s because Erkam is inviting people from other locations to submit videos of driving in their respective cities. They will be included on the website and in the application from the project.
The engineer introduces himself as follows:
“Hi, I’m a master’s student in Munich and during the pandemic I created the Drive and Listen web app where you can drive around different cities and listen to your local radio stations.”
