Currently, it is practically impossible to imagine people’s daily lives without the help of a cellphone. The task is so difficult that, to try to prove otherwise, a United States company proposed a paid challenge.
North American Siggi’s is willing to pay US$10,000 (around R$50,000) to anyone who can go without a cell phone for a month (30 days). The news was given by the portal USA Today.
In addition to thousands of dollars, the company, which operates in the yogurts, intends to grant other prizes. The 10 customers who win the digital detox challenge will receive other types of benefits.

The manufacturer’s intention is to show people the benefits of detaching themselves from the digital environment for a while. “The hope is that this can start new healthy habits for the new year,” Siggi’s explained in a statement.
The company aims to help those who want to start 2024 in a different way, and the first step is to focus more on real life than on the events that take place in the social media and other digital platforms.
How to participate?
To participate in the challenge, you must first meet some requirements. Registration is only open to people over 18 years of age who legally live in the U.S.
Among the benefits offered, in addition to US$10,000, is a guarantee of three months of free yogurt for the winners. The online form is available online until January 31st.
Apart from name and address, candidates must also answer a basic question: “why do you need a digital detox in your life and how will it affect you in a positive way?”
The answers will be chosen according to criteria of clarity, creativity and originality, in addition, of course, to the evident commitment and desire to participate in the challenge. The selected candidates will be revealed on February 15th.
