In the digital age in which humanity finds itself, cell phones they became a kind of extension of the body. With them, we have access to almost every type of information in the palm of our hands.
Therefore, the duration of their batteries is of great concern, both to users and to the industry, which aims to improve device performance. After all, practically all smartphone users have found themselves in an important situation where they desperately needed to recharge their cell phones.
In this scenario, a common inconvenience lies in the simple act of limiting yourself to a space according to the size of the charger wire. This made it possible to create power banks, which are basically portable chargers, although not very convenient due to their size. However, a light of hope and innovation appears: a completely wireless charger!
Scientists develop wireless charger that works remotely

Taking the first step towards the future of mobile charging, Finnish scientists at Aalto University have created a system capable of efficiently charging a battery to 100% wireless.
Wireless chargers are not exactly new. State-of-the-art cell phones can now connect to a charger without using any type of cabling. However, until now, there must be contact between the device and a kind of platform, which is the energy source.
Although it seems interesting, this is as little convenient as wired chargers, as their use remains completely limited. However, with the new system developed by engineers in Finland, it is only a matter of time before the use of cables is outdated.

According to the published study, the researchers were able to maintain a distance of up to 18 centimeters and continue charging. They used two loop antennas and magnetic induction, achieving a power transfer rate of more than 80%.
The problem faced, until then, was the radiative loss that occurs with distance. However, as the study’s author, Nam Ha-Van, explains:
“When the currents in the loop antennas have equal amplitudes and opposite phases, it is possible to cancel out the radiation loss, thus increasing efficiency.”
It was exactly the mitigation of the loss electromagnetic which made this system a great innovation, which could represent a great advance for the future, helping in different areas of our lives.
It is worth mentioning that the scientists only developed the charging system, without creating a commercial model. This must be created from the improvement of the discovery. Even so, the study strengthens scientific development and reveals the intense work of people willing to improve the future of humanity.
