However, there is still no information available about the official launch date of this functionality for the public. According to the website, this new feature was identified for the first time in the codes of beta version of WhatsApp in an update released in March.

To use it, simply tap the 1 icon that will appear next to the voice message waveform while recording it, as illustrated in the screenshot shared by the website.

Once the single listen mode is activated and the audio is sent, the sender will no longer be able to listen to it, and the recipient will only have one opportunity to listen to it, as the content will be automatically deleted after the first listen.

This innovation reinforces WhatsApp’s concern with protection and privacy of its users, offering them a safer way to share sensitive information and prevent unwanted sharing of voice messages.
