In the world of email services, the Gmail, which belongs to Google, stands out as one of the most used platforms worldwide. Recently, the service announced a new update that promises to improve user experience: the option to request read confirmation for sent emails.

With this update, senders now have the ability to receive a notification when the recipient opens and reads the sent message. This function is especially useful in professional contexts, where it is crucial to monitor whether communication was properly transmitted.

Until then, it was not possible to know whether recipients had read the emails sent, but this new Gmail feature aims to resolve this issue. With read confirmation, senders will be able to immediately know when their messages have been viewed, eliminating the need to wait for a response from the recipient.

However, it is important to note that this option will not be available to all users. Read verification will be exclusive to corporate email accounts and educational institutions that are partners of Google. This addition will be particularly useful for companies, streamlining internal communication and increasing effectiveness in the workplace.

To take advantage of this new functionality, Gmail business users need to access the “Request read receipt” option, which is located in the three dots in the lower right corner of the screen, before sending the email.

Unfortunately, read receipts are not yet available automatically for all users, requiring this process to be done manually in order to receive a confirmation of access to the email sent to inbox.

With this feature, Gmail offers users the ability to obtain accurate information about viewing their emails, making communication more efficient and making it easier to confirm that important messages have been read.
