You probably now know how social media sites like Instagram, Snapchat, and Facebook make money with the data we share. And like most social media platforms, Instagram stores your data like a copy of your photos, videos, profile data, direct messages, comments, and more.
So, if you are wondering or worried about what data Instagram collects over time, we will show you how you can view, download and delete your Instagram data on both mobile and PC. So let’s get straight to the point.

Protect Your Data
Instagram collects and keeps most of your activity data. In fact, knowing that all my contacts and phone numbers are saved (since I let them find people I know) made me change a few privacy settings on Instagram. If you can’t quit social media, at least now you will think twice before sharing your data online.
