Top 6 Ways That Won’t Stop Gmail Syncing Error On Mobile

One of the most common problems is that Gmail takes a really long time to complete the syncing process and then it doesn’t stop. 1. Turn Sync Off/On

There is an option to turn sync off/on for various accounts you have added to the phone. Doing so may help with the ongoing sync issue.

Stage 1: Go to Settings > Accounts & backup > Accounts and select the Google account there. Under Sync account, you can toggle syncing for all Google apps, including Gmail.

You can also check when Gmail was last synced. It will give you an idea of ​​whether the Inbox is up to date or not. Some smartphone UIs have a sync button in the notification area to help you save battery when you’re running low on juice.

2. Turn Off/On Internet

Several users reported that this little trick worked for them. Turn off Wi-Fi and mobile data from the notification area, restart your phone and then turn it back on. Gmail should constantly stop syncing.

3. Check Storage

You will also find the Permissions option in the same menu. Surprisingly, even on my phone where Gmail sync works fine, the Storage option is set to Deny. However, one user found that setting it to Allow and a simple reboot did the trick.

If it’s already on or allowed, toggle off/on and then reboot to clear the constant Gmail sync notification.

6. Clean Reinstall

A clean reinstall should help with a few corrupted files and app error issues. Repeat the steps mentioned in point 3 above to clear all data and cache files of Gmail. Then you will uninstall Gmail, open Play Store and reinstall Gmail. This will do two things. It will update Gmail to the latest version and a clean install will automatically fix a few bugs and other errors.
