1. Enable Notification
Maybe your friend or family member accidentally disabled the notification in the Instagram app. You need to enable the option from the Settings menu. Follow the steps below.
Stage 1: Open the Settings app on iPhone.
Step 2: Scroll down to the Instagram app.
Stage 3: Tap on Notifications and enable Allow Notifications from the menu below.
2. Enable Background App Refresh

5. Disable Low Power Mode
Low Power Mode on iPhone is designed to save battery juice on the phone. If you are using iPhone in Low Power Mode, it may completely close Instagram in the background and affect notifications. Follow the steps below to disable Low Power Mode on iPhone.
Stage 1: Open the Settings app on iPhone.
Step 2: Scroll down to the Battery option and disable Low Power Mode from the menu below.
6. Switch to Main Account on Instagram
Instagram allows you to use multiple accounts simultaneously in the app. It is beneficial for those who use the social network for both personal and professional use.
If you’re using an Instagram Business account and personal account and you’re not getting notifications from the personal account, consider switching to the main account in the app. Here’s how to make the switch.
Stage 1: Open Instagram app on iPhone.
Step 2: Long press the profile icon in the lower right corner.
Stage 3: Switch to the main account and you will start receiving notifications from the app.
7. Disable Pause Notifications from Instagram
Instagram provides an option to pause all notifications from the app. Make sure you disable the Pause Notifications option. Go through the steps below.
Stage 1: Open Instagram app on iPhone.
Step 2: Tap the Profile icon in the bottom menu bar.
Stage 3: Tap the hamburger menu in the upper right corner.
Step 4: Select settings.
Step 5: Select Notifications and disable the Pause All toggle from the menu below.
From the same menu, you can go to each section such as Posts, Stories, Comments, Follow and Followers, Messages, Live and IGTV and turn on notifications.
8. Leave Instagram Testflight
Instagram is testing upcoming features with a select group of users via the Testflight app on iPhone. If you are part of such a program and have problems with iPhone notifications, consider exiting the program.
Open the Testflight app and find the Instagram app. Select Stop Test from the menu below.
9. Remove Instagram from Screen Time
Instagram is an absolutely addictive app. You can put the brakes on the unhealthy use of the app by using the Screen Time function on iPhone.
If you have exhausted the usage of certain days on Instagram, the app icon will turn gray and you will not be able to interact with the app and you will not receive any notifications.
You can remove Screen Time for Instagram or extend it a few more minutes from the Settings app.
Stage 1: Open the Settings app and go to the Screen Time menu.
Step 2: Go to App Limits. Swipe left on Instagram and select Delete.
Stage 3: You can also tap on Instagram and Time and extend the Screen Time limit for the app.
10. Update Instagram

Open the App Store and tap the Profile icon in the upper right corner. Update Instagram to the latest version and you should start getting notifications from the app.
