New WhatsApp feature
Over the years, WhatsApp has become a nearly universal place to forward files and links.
We know that the forwarding feature has been on the platform for years, however, it has been neglected for a while and has become outdated compared to other platforms.
In light of this, the newest version of WhatsApp Beta 2.23.8.22 was released, making it possible to include descriptions of links or files that are being sent on WhatsApp, so that the person receiving them has clarity about what is being sent to them. Thus, avoiding misunderstandings.
Additionally, you can add a title to any image, video, GIF, and file you forward in the app.
How does the description of forwarded files work?
Once you forward something, the app will open a chat window for the recipient, allowing you to add text of your choice or delete the default text that came with the file when you received it.
In this sense, it is worth noting that if you remove the title and default description of the content, overwriting it with new text, be aware that the two pieces of information will be sent separately. First, the file you sent without title or description and then the text you added.
