MAX: Streaming service recently launched by Warner is already experiencing problems

Mergers of brands belonging to the same company are quite common in the market. They are used as a means of promoting a new product or improving a service already provided.

Therefore, consumers are often pleased with the partnership, since the benefit to the public is usually a common result of partnerships. However, this is not what is currently happening with streaming services.

One of the biggest streaming services today, HBO Max, is merging with Discovery+, another platform for movies, series and TV shows. The merger gives life to the new streaming service Maxbut it seems that the transition is not going as expected in the US.

New Max streaming service is causing problems for users

Last Tuesday, May 23, Warner Bros. announced the launch of its new Max platform, resulting from the merger of two apps belonging to the company.

However, the new feature, which has only arrived in the United States, is being attacked by reports from users who are experiencing difficulties using the app.

Consumers are reporting, through their social networks, problems in the transition from HBO or Discovery+ to the new application.

This transition should have been done automatically, according to information from the company itself. Even so, the error has caused headaches for subscribers.

More information about the new streaming

The service has not yet arrived in Brazil, but is expected to arrive in the second half of this year. However, it is not known what the consequences of its arrival in the country will be, as prices have not yet been confirmed.

The only thing that is known so far is the prices of the plans in the United States: costs start at US$9.99 per month (around R$49) for the cheapest plan, which has advertising and only allows for two Full HD screens.

In addition, you can pay up to US$19.99 per month (almost R$100), for the most expensive plan, with four screens and 4K UHD quality.
