With more than 150,000 participants and analysis of influencers with millions of followers, the survey offered a comprehensive view of this generation’s preferences and behaviors.

The profile of centennials

To understand why centennials are so different from other generations, it is crucial to delve into their preferences and habits. Let’s start by exploring their taste in media in general.

Audio and video

There’s no denying it: music is part of centennials’ lives. According to the previously mentioned survey, around 70% of them prefer the Spotify as an audio streaming platform.

When it comes to video, Netflix is ​​the king among them. With 46% preference, it leads the market, followed by Prime Video, with 20%.

The survey also indicates that centennials love series and films, especially teen romances and dramas.

Surprisingly, 47% of centennials still prefer to watch content on traditional television. However, 25% opt for smartphones, indicating a gradual change in habits.

And, speaking of smartphones, the preference here is clear. 62% of Centennials prefer the iPhone, while 27% are Samsung fans. The battle of technology giants is reflected in the preferences of this generation.

Furthermore, generation Z is largely made up of gamers. Surprisingly, 100% of survey participants consider themselves gamers. Of these, 75% play on their cell phones, while the rest prefer consoles.

When it comes to consoles, 38% prefer the Xbox, 35% have an affinity with Sony and 19% are loyal to Nintendo. The console wars continue, but they all have a special place in the hearts of centennials.

What is the indispensable object, after all?

Now, you may be wondering: what is the one item that two-thirds of centennials can’t afford not to have? Surprisingly, it’s not the cell phone, but the headphones.

The survey shows that 66% of participants declared that headphones are essential and they cannot go out without them. Music and podcasts are a crucial part of their lives.

Another curious fact is that 56% of centennials do not own cars and 48% use public transport. When it comes to luxury cars, brands like Tesla, Mercedes and Porsche are not priorities for them.

However, surprisingly, 55% of centennials would like to own a Jeep.

Based on this information, it is clear that the generation Z represents an influential force in the market. With unique preferences in music, video, technology and lifestyle, the survey didn’t miss how vital music is in their lives.
