How to Schedule Social Posts in Canva

After dominating the graphic design space for years, Canva is back with another useful plugin for designers and influencers. With the new Schedule feature, a title or template can be easily shared from Canva to social media networks such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Slack and more. Here’s how to schedule social posts in Canva.

Before we continue, let’s make one thing clear. The social sharing program is limited to Canva Pro users only. To get started, you can sign up for a free trial of several weeks or pay for a monthly or annual plan.

If you’re a free Canva user, you’ll see the Schedule plugin on Desktop is greyed out, which means it’s not for you. In this post, we’ll first schedule a post from Canva to Twitter using the Canva desktop.

Stage 1: Open Canva on the desktop and sign in using your account credentials. Make sure to use Canva Pro to access the plan feature.

Step 2: Review the Templates section and choose the one that suits your needs.

Step 10: Choose the Canva content type like PNG, GIF or MP4 Video and write your Tweet below with 280 characters.

Step 11: Hit Schedule Post and your entire post is set to be published on your preferred social media channel at the selected date and time.

Canva will ask you to make a copy of your banner and you’ll be able to top the Content Planner.

How to Edit Scheduled Social Posts in Canva

Your sales shipment is about to schedule two days from now. But now you want to change the discount from 50% to 60% and edit the post’s publication time.

That’s where Canva’s excellent Content Planner comes in. It offers a monthly calendar view and shows which social posts will go live soon. Follow the steps below to learn how to use Canva Content Planner to organize scheduled social posts.

Stage 1: From the Canva homepage, you’ll see Content Planner on the left. Click on it.

Step 2: Click the Scheduled post you want to edit.
