This mysterious gravitational force is located in intergalactic space and is the gravitational center of the Laniakea Supercluster, an immense cluster that is home to more than 100,000 galaxiesincluding the Virgo Supercluster and our Local Group of galaxies.

However, the influence of dark energy makes it unlikely that the Milky Way will actually reach the Great Attractor. Studies indicate that before this happens, dark energy will play a destructive role in our galaxy in a few billion years. This means that our journey towards the Great Attractor has no clear final destination.
Despite this limitation, the pursuit of knowledge and the exploration of space continue to drive human curiosity.
Even though they know that the possibility of reaching this mysterious region is remote, scientists persevere in investigating this cosmic phenomenon, seeking to unravel the secrets of the Universe and expand our understanding of the cosmos.
