A new streaming experience is coming to Brazil, with the long-awaited launch of Max, a platform that will soon replace the already well-known HBO Max. And, among many other new features, Warner Bros. Discovery is preparing something special: the inclusion of live linear channels.
Until now, the service only offered a few sporting events, such as tennis tournaments and international football championships, and live shows, but now, according to Bloomberg, one of the first channels to arrive will be the renowned CNN. Understand the details below.
CNN channel
According to the information, initially, the CNN channel signal will be available in international markets, that is, CNN International – with no forecast of when national operations will be incorporated. This exciting addition to the streaming catalog could occur as early as this year or possibly in the first months of 2024.

Earlier this year, ahead of HBO Max’s transition to Max in the US, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav stated:
“We are a global leader in sports. And we are a global leader in news. We will soon share details on our strategy to leverage this exclusive live content to further drive our streaming business.”
In addition to Warner Bros. Discovery, Disney is also planning to offer ESPN as a standalone streaming service in the future. However, as of now, there is no announced date for this long-awaited launch.
In the Prime Video catalog, however, a wide variety of live channels are already available that broadcast football matches from the main national and international championships, linked to Amazon’s partner channels.
Soon, users will be able to stay connected to the latest news and events with Max streaming and the arrival of CNN’s live signal, allowing them to enjoy programming directly on their screen. Stay tuned for more information on this new feature.
