Anthropic, an American startup artificial intelligence, has just announced the release for testing of “Claude 2”, the new version of its chatbot. Known as the easiest AI to talk to, “Claude 2” is available to any citizen of the United States and United Kingdom.
This new addition expands Anthropic’s range of chatbot options, joining ChatGPT, Bing, and Bard, which are already available for use. But what does Claude 2 have that the others don’t?
Friendlier Chatbot
“Claude 2” stands out from the other options because it is considered more than just a chatbot. The company describes him as a friendly and enthusiastic colleague, even considering him a personal assistant.
It can be instructed in natural language to help with a variety of tasks, from creating briefs and writing code to translating text and more.
Anthropic emphasizes that “Claude 2” is helpful, harmless, honest and even has a sense of humor, making interaction with him more pleasant and natural.
One of the significant differences of “Claude 2” is that it is guided by a set of principles, called “constitution”, which helps you review your answers autonomously, without dependence on human moderators.

With the release of “Claude 2,” Anthropic announced a number of improvements over the previous version. Now, the chatbot is able to elaborate on longer answers and displays enhanced skills in mathematics, coding and reasoning.
The current version, in the bar exam, in the multiple choice section, increased to 76.5%, compared to 73% in the previous version. Additionally, “Claude 2” is twice as good at providing harmless responses, which means it is less likely to distribute harmful content to users.
However, it is worth highlighting that, unlike Bard and Bing, “Claude 2” is not yet connected to the internet. It has a database that runs until December 2022, being more recent than the free version of “ChatGPT”.
Additionally, Anthropic’s AI has a larger context window of around 75,000 words, allowing users to upload large amounts of text for analysis.
