There are many advantages to signing into Google Chrome. For example, your browsing data, passwords, bookmarks, etc. It is constantly synchronized between devices. More importantly, every time you close Chrome, Gmail, Drive etc. You won’t have to sign in to Google services again and again. Unfortunately, some Chrome users are signing out of their Google accounts in Chrome. Let’s see how to fix if Chrome keeps signing you out.
Generally, if you’re signed in to Chrome, exiting the browser shouldn’t log you out. This will annoy anyone who will have to re-enter their account credentials for Google services every time.
Fortunately, the problem can be easily fixed with a few troubleshooting tips mentioned here. Let’s check them out.
1. Restart the Computer
Many of us put our computer to sleep or hibernate for days without shutting it down properly. Restarting a computer fixes various problems on your computer and also updates the Chrome browser. If you haven’t rebooted in a long time, you’d better start troubleshooting Chrome by restarting your device.
2. Enable Cookies
If you want to stay logged in to websites, you must have cookies enabled in your browser. So, take a look at the Chrome settings and see if cookies are enabled. Here are the steps:
Stage 1: Click on the three-dot icon in the upper right corner of Chrome. Select Settings from the menu.

Step 2: Click on cookies and other site data.

If you don’t see the option, click Site Settings and then Cookies.
Stage 3: Select Allow all cookies. Restart Chrome.

3. Check Cookie Settings
If cookies are already enabled, or after you have enabled them as shown above, you should check for certain cookie settings that may cause you to log out of Chrome.
First, disable the switch next to ‘Clear cookies and site data when you exit Chrome’.

Additionally, scroll down and check the websites listed under ‘Always clear cookies when windows are closed’ and ‘Sites that can never use cookies’. If you are only logging out of a particular website, remove it from these two lists.

Sometimes, a corrupt cache file can also be responsible for not keeping you logged in to Chrome. To fix this, you will need to clear the cache in Chrome. Do not worry. Bookmarks, passwords, etc. None of your data will be deleted. Clearing the cache only removes temporary files.

Gmail, YouTube etc. If you’re signing in to Google sites like Google, but Chrome isn’t keeping you signed in for sync services, you probably have Chrome disabled the allow sign-in feature. To fix this, you need to enable the Allow sign in with Chrome setting. Here are the steps:
Stage 1: Go to Chrome Settings from the three-dot icon at the top.

Step 2: Under You and Google, click on Sync and Google services.

Stage 3: Enable the Allow sign in to Chrome toggle.

6. Disconnect Google Account from Chrome
If you’re using Chrome’s sync feature to keep you signed in, you should try disconnecting your Google account from Chrome for a while. Adding it again after disconnecting should fix the problem.
For this, follow these steps:
Stage 1: Go to Chrome Settings.
Step 2: Click Close next to your name and email address under You and Google. Doing so will sign you out of Chrome and other Google sites. Your current bookmarks, passwords, browsing history, etc. will not be deleted.

Stage 3: Restart Chrome and go to Settings again. Click Open and add your Google account details to sign in to Chrome. Hopefully, now every time you close Chrome, you won’t be logged out.
